35' Casco Bay

Need a little more room for accommodations or fishing gear? Our Eastern 35 is your choice. She is a stretched and widened version of the 31, carrying four feet more length, ten inches more beam, and five inches more freeboard with the same graceful clipper bow, broad flare, and full keel.  Like her classic Eastern 31 sister, our 35 has hard chines, giving her excellent speed, efficiency, and stability both underway and at rest.  With a modern 370-400-hp diesel, she will cruise comfortably at 16-18 knots even in rough seas, while her bow flare and forward spray rail keep her windshield dry.

Some 35s are fishing commercially, others are carrying fishing charters or hard-core recreational anglers, and more are cruising with their families.  We can finish one for you as a basic work boat, a state of-the-art sportfisherman, or a lobster yacht with all the teak trim. Our standard Casco Bay model adapts well to any of these uses, with or without a flying bridge.  With the 35’s extra beam and length, accommodations below can include a roomy forward island berth, an enclosed head with separate shower, a hanging locker, and a chart table.

Her pilothouse offers comfortable helm and companion seats, a roomy settee/dinette that converts to a comfortable double bunk, and a galley with two-burner stove, countertop, sink, and refrigerator.  Her cockpit can host picnics or adapt for fishing action.  Choose aft curtains for the pilothouse if you want to be able to open the interior to the cockpit for entertaining or fishing.  For three-season comfort, pick a hard aft bulkhead with twin doors.  Other options include heating/air conditioning, a 3.5 kW genset, a molded transom platform, and a transom door, but we have broad experience with custom installation of other equipment requested by owners.  We build each 350 to meet your exact needs and taste.
